Watch the main event between two boxing legends.
Despite over a century in their combined age, Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. both came back from retirement to fight. Tyson is 54, and Jones Jr is 51. Perhaps more importantly, Tyson came back from a 15-year retirement, while RJJ has been far more active and competed up until 2018.
While it’s supposed to be an “exhibition,” they certainly didn’t act like it. They also looked better than many expected, given their age and time off.
Tyson looked good early on, and didn’t seem to have been affected as much by the layoff. The power difference was evident as well, and it was Jones who surprisingly got worn down as the fight progressed.
In the end, no knockdowns were scored, but they fought the entire eight rounds and it was pretty entertaining nonetheless. Despite being more active, Jones Jr. slowed down considerably more, and Tyson ended up landing the best shots.
Tyson seemed to have looked better, but the guest judges somehow scored the exhibition a draw.

Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr, Round 8
Jones clinches right away. Quick ref break. Tyson charges but gets tied up again. Tyson with a nice shot. Jones gets to dancing! Glory days! That was great. Tyson is firing big shots but Jones isn’t engaging much. Tyson with one more body shot. 10-9 and 79-73 Tyson. You know, if we were keeping score.
