Jon Jones has posted videos in the past showing him bulking up for a potential move to heavyweight, but the former UFC light heavyweight champion is closer than ever to actually making the jump up in weight.
Jones, who is expected to fight the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Francis Ngannou 2 later this year, is doing everything he can to prepare for a move to heavyweight. “Bones” has always possessed the skill and length to fight one division up, but he needed to pack on some extra muscle and weight.
Luckily, Jones is one of the most dedicated fighters in the sport today and hails from a family full of straight athletic killers. That’s probably why the former light heavyweight king is able to throw up a 605-pound lift like it was nothing. Check it out below via Jones’ Instagram:

Jones, 33, is already considered one of the best fighters of all time, if not the best. The long-time UFC light heavyweight king relinquished his title in May of last year due to a lack of contenders at 205 pounds and a public battle with the promotion over pay. Jones has yet to work out his finances with the UFC ahead of his heavyweight debut, but that is a hurdle that should be cleared in due time.
What say you, Maniacs? Can “Bones” carry his light heavyweight success over to heavyweight and forge another legendary chapter in his career?
Sound off!
