Max Griffin cashed in on a co-main event spot last night (Sat., Mar. 20, 2021) at UFC Vegas 22 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nev., when “Pain” stopped talented striker Song Kenan via first-round knockout (punch).
Both welterweights came out firing to impress in their makeshift co-main event. After some back-and-forth action it was Griffin who launched a right hand that connected and sent Kenan crashing into the cage. As Kenan hit the canvas Griffin landed one brutal punch that unfortunately landed to the back of the neck. Kenan was out cold but eventually came to.

This performance is the second-straight knockout win for Max Griffin after finishing Ramiz Brahimaj back in Nov. 2020. The veteran welterweight seems to be hitting a stride late into his UFC career and it’s become enjoyable to watch. Griffin called for a spot on the upcoming UFC 262 card in Texas so we’ll see if the UFC gets him a fight.
