Adrian Yanez looked incredible earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 20, 2021) at UFC Vegas 22 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nev., when the rising bantamweight prospect finished Gustavo Lopez via third-round knockout (punch).
It may have taken Yanez a little time to find his range but once he did the fight was essentially over. Lopez refused to utilize his wrestling and it allowed Yanez to snipe his foe at will. Yanez was insanely accurate and made Lopez pay every time he tried to engage. His efforts came to a head in the third round when Yanez unloaded a perfect right hand down the pipe. Lopez dropped to the canvas and the fight was called.

This is the second-straight knockout win for Yanez and another UFC performance that leads us to believe he’s a future contender at 135 pounds. It will be interesting to see how fast UFC ushers Yanez along considering how good his striking appears to be. The Texas native is already calling for a fight at UFC 262 this coming May in Houston.
