Fight fans can now take a behind-the-scenes look at Francis Ngannou’s recent knockout win over UFC heavyweight king Stipe Miocic with the release of UFC 260’s “The Thrill and Agony” video.
UFC 260 took place on Mar. 27 live on ESPN+ PPV and featured a heavyweight rematch between Miocic and Ngannou in the main event. Miocic, who was defending his UFC heavyweight title, had defeated Ngannou via decision back in 2018. It took Ngannou all this time to work his way back into another title fight and “Predator” certainly made the most of it.
After pacing himself in the first round and even mixing in some solid takedown defense Ngannou really took it to Miocic in the second. The heavyweight finisher caught the champion with a short left hook that put Miocic down for the count. Ngannou landed one brutal insurance shot before the bout was called and “Predator” was awarded the undisputed UFC heavyweight championship (highlights HERE).
The UFC 260 PPV main card also featured a co-main event clash between former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and surging contender Vicente Luque. After a crazy back-and-forth to start the fight it was Luque who landed the more meaningful punches before choking out “Chosen One” late into the first.
