White Tweet Omigawa win money

UFC President Dana White Tweeted (@danawhite) that message last night during the UFC 131: Dos Santos vs. Carwin event.

Michihiro Omigawa opened the UFC 131 event against Darren Elkins in a three round featherweight scrap that had most scoring the fight for Omigawa. The Japanese fighter was certainly down the first round, but took the second and third with solid shots which turned Elkins face bloody by the end of the fight. Despite all of this the judges scored the bout 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27.

It was the score of 30-27 that got under the UFC President’s skin the most, Tweeting this message.

White Tweet UFC 131 judging

I can certainly agree with White’s comment, I felt it was a close fight but I certainly felt the win was Omigawa’s. I find there are more issues at events with these City Commissions instead of the ones run by the State/Provincial Commissions.
