Hawaiian middleweight fighter Kendall ‘The Sypder’ Grove (12-9, 1NC) has announced his release by the UFC on Thursday.
Grove made the announcement on his Facebook page on Thursday.

Grove ends his stint with the Ultimate Fighting Championship after thirteen straight fights, amassing a record of 7-6 and one “Fight of the Night” bonus. The Hawaiian based fighter dropped his last two fights and was just 1-3 in his last four. Seven of his twelve career wins have come via submission and another two by knockout.
‘The Spyder’ lost back-to-back unanimous decisions, one to Tim Boetsch at UFC 130 and the other to Demian Maia at the TUF 12 Finale. His last win was over Goran Reljic by split decision at UFC 116.
Grove broke into the UFC after winning the middleweight bracket for “The Ultimate Fighter” season 3 by defeating Ed Herman in the final by unanimous decision back in June 2006.
