Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament: Top 25 Pound for Pound Fighters in MMA

Bleacher Report’s Tim McTiernan:

What a dud of a main event. Alistair Overeem wanted nothing to do with the ground game of Fabricio Werdum, and Werdum wanted no part of striking with The Reem.

This led to a very repetitive main event. Striking momentarily, Werdum shoots, Reem shrugs him off, Werdum pleads for Alistair to come down, and repeat.

In the co-main event, Josh Barnett exposed Brett Rogers by taking him down and submitting him with an arm triangle choke in the second round.

All in all, a less than impressive night of fights.

Notwithstanding, there were two of the top 25 pound for pound fighters in action with Werdum and Alistair.

So did Werdum fall off the list? How much did Alistair move up?

Read on to find out.
