Suffering his fourth straight UFC loss on Sunday night, many would have thought British welterweight Dan ‘The Outlaw’ Hardy (23-10, 1NC) had seen his last fight in the Octagon, but Hardy is apparently being given another chance according to Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Lorenzo Fertitta.

Hardy was submitted Sunday, August 14, in the main event of the UFC on Versus 5 event against Chris Lytle, who announced the day before at the weigh-ins that this would be his final fight and would retire after the outcome of the fight.

Fertitta made the announcement via Twitter (@lorenzofertitta) minutes after the bout between Hardy and Lytle had ended.

Will not cut @danhardymma I like guys that WAR!!!

‘The Outlaw’ had previously dropped bouts to Anthony Johnson by decision at UFC Fight Night 24, Carlos Condit by KO at UFC 120, and to champ Georges St-Pierre at UFC 111 by decision. The loss to GSP ended a seven fight win streak, which included four straight in the Octagon.
