Former UFC welterweight contender Josh Koscheck (15-5) says he’s set to make his return to the Octagon this November in San Jose, and will fight at UFC 139 as a middleweight likely.
Koscheck Tweeted (@JoshKoscheck) the notice on Sunday night.
– My next fight is in SAN JOSE cali. NOV 19th Good chance fighting at 185lbs. 🙂 should know real soon who.
If that is indeed the date of his return, Koscheck will return after almost a years absence at UFC 139: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos on November 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. This marks the first UFC event in San Jose, the one time home of former rival Strikeforce.
Koscheck has been sidelined since last December where he suffered a broken right orbital bone in his UFC welterweight title match at UFC 124 with champion Georges St-Pierre. Koscheck was unable to counter St-Pierre’s use of jabs throughout the fight, losing a unanimous decision for a second straight time against the French-Canadian.
No word on a possible opponent has surfaced but he and UFC light heavyweight Stephan Bonnar have been feuding over ‘The American Psycho’s’ use of his likeness on T-shirts. Bonnar has since discontinued the T-shirt line, Trash Talkin’ Kids, and has started a new line called Punch Buddies.
