The final Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year will unfold tomorrow night (Sat., Dec. 10, 2022) at UFC 282 live on ESPN+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will feature an undisputed light heavyweight title fight and a collection of rising stars.
Leading the way will be a clash between light heavyweight contenders Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev. The two strikers were already booked to compete on UFC 282’s main card, but after Jiri Prochazka was removed from the headliner and relinquished his 205-pound crown the promotion moved Blachowicz vs. Ankalaev into the main event spot. There isn’t any bad blood between Blachowicz and Ankalaev, but that won’t stop them from going to war this weekend in Las Vegas.
Check out the final faceoff between Blachowicz and Ankalaev from Friday’s UFC 282 ceremonial weigh ins in the above player.
Adding to the mix will be a co-main event clash between rising lightweight star Paddy Pimblett and Octagon veteran Jared Gordon. This will be Pimblett’s official UFC PPV debut after turning in a 3-0 UFC record in just over a year of action. “Baddy” is undoubtedly one of the brightest stars the promotion is growing, but Gordon is well-rounded and more than capable of spoiling the Englishman’s UFC ascension.
Their final faceoff can be seen below:

Despite Prochazka’s canceled title fight with Glover Teixeira UFC 282’s main card still packs a punch. Sparking the PPV action will be a featherweight clash between undefeated contenders Bryce Mitchell and Ilia Topuria. This one will be sure to deliver world-class grappling and transitions, but Topuria has demonstrated serious knockout power in his UFC contests and could put “Thug Nasty” in big trouble.
