Undefeated lightweight Edson Barboza (9-0) will look to make it three “Fight of the Night” bonuses in a row when he meets English fighter Terry Etim (15-3) this coming January in Brazil as part of the UFC 142 event.

The bout was announced by UFC officials on Tuesday, adding the second 155 lbs match to the Brazilian show with Thiago Tavares vs. Sam Stout announced earlier in the day.

UFC 142 is expected to take place on Jan. 14 with no official venue named for the promotions return to the South American country after their very successful UFC 134 show last August. Many expect a return visit to the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

Barboza was also a part of the UFC 134 card for his last fight, earning a split decision over Ross Pearson in their “Fight of the Night” bonus winning match. That was Barboza’s third straight Octagon win, which included a decision victory over Anthony Njokuani at UFC 128 and a TKO win against Mike Lullo at UFC 123.

Fans who watched last weekends UFC 138 event, will remember Etim and his quick 17-second guillotine choke submission win over Eddie Faaloloto at the Birmingham, England event. That win earned Etim his third “Submission of the Night” bonus and put him back in the win column after a submission loss to Rafael dos Anos at UFC 112. Between the two bouts, Etim had been mending from a broken rib injury.
