Devin Haney made his move up in weight look like a walk in the park last night (Sat., Dec. 9, 2023) live on DAZN from inside Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., as the undisputed lightweight champion destroyed WBC super lightweight champion Regis Prograis from beginning to end.

Prograis came into this fight a sizeable betting underdog, but the super lightweight champion packed a punch that some thought could give Haney some issues. However, Prograis didn’t have much of anything. He landed at about 10 percent through the majority of the fight and simply couldn’t get going.

Haney, on the other hand, dominated the entire fight. He put on an absolute masterclass from start to finish. He scored an early knockdown, wobbled Prograis on multiple occasions, and made his move up look effortless. It was an especially good effort in front of his hometown of San Francisco.

Haney, who is just 25 years of age, is now 31-0 in his pro boxing career and on a short list of pound-for-pound best fighters in the world today. There are some good matchups in store for “Dream” moving forward — including a potential showdown with boxing star Ryan Garcia — but we’ll have to wait to see what the undisputed lightweight champion does in 2024.
