The next number one contender for the UFC heavyweight title will be on hand at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California this weekend as former UFC champ Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem will be present at the UFC on FOX: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos event.

With the current champ Cain Velasquez facing Junior dos Santos as part of his first title defense, it made sense to bring in Lesnar and Overeem for the event.

Both Lesnar and Overeem are set to meet in a No. 1 contender match in the main event of UFC 141 on Dec. 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Lesnar is not only being brought in to comment on Saturday’s title match, but he’s also being brought in as an analyst for the inaugural FOX broadcast according to promotion president Dana White.

“This is focused on the heavyweights and the heavyweight championship fight on Saturday night between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos,” said White. “We’re going to be talking about Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesnar. Overeem will be there, and Brock Lesnar is actually going to be one of the analysts on the show, breaking down the fight. He (defended the belt) against Cain Velasquez, and he was supposed to fight Junior dos Santos, so his opinion is interesting.”

FOX is set to air a pre-fight and post-fight show on FUEL TV for this, and all future UFC events, becoming the new home for everything UFC.
