Anthony Joshua will be heavily compensated for leading a jam-packed, end-of-year boxing card later today (Sat., Dec. 23, 2023) at “Day of Reckoning” live on DAZN PPV from inside Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion takes on Otto Wallin in the main event.

According to a report by The Sun, Joshua is expected to earn right around $9 million for his services this weekend in Saudi Arabia. Of course, the English star is also expected to bring in more money off PPV sales and ticket revenue. It’s a pretty good cash grab for one of boxing’s biggest attractions in a fight that he should win from start to finish.

If Joshua is victories then he’ll line himself up for a massive heavyweight showdown with renowned knockout artist Deontay Wilder, who is co-headlining Saturday’s card against veteran Joseph Parker. Wilder recently claimed that Joshua will make $40 million over his next two fights, suggesting Joshua could make $32 million when he fights “Bronze Bomber” in 2024.

For now, Joshua will be tasked to lead the last boxing card of the calendar year. He’s looking to capture his third-straight win since losing a pair of fights against undefeated heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk two years ago.
