Olympic Bronze Medalist Ronda Rousey may be the fastest-rising female mixed-martial-artist, and her four victories as a professional fighter have all ended in under a minute and via armbar.
In this clip from HD Net’s MMA Live, the fourth-degree black belt in Judo shows former UFC heavyweight champion Bas Rutten just how brutal her submissions can be.
Her last opponent, Julia Budd, had her arm dislocated in just 39 seconds. It was part of a Strikeforce Challengers card in Las Vegas and her fourth fight in 2011. You can watch the fight here.
Alongside her accomplishments in the Olympics, her judo credentials include winning a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships and a gold medal in the 2008 Pan American Games.
She is currently ranked No. 9 in the women’s 145-pound division according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings.
