Mark Chamberlain turned in the biggest performance of his young boxing career earlier today (Sat., May 18, 2024) at Ring of Fire live on DAZN PPV in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when the undefeated English prospect stopped Joshua Wahab with a devastating first-round knockout (punches).
The Ring of Fire undercard saw two early stoppages, but Chamberlain’s finish was the first legit knockout of the card. It was a bit of a shock considering Wahab came into this fight with a 23-1 professional record and had never been knocked down in his career before, but there’s a first time for everything.
It didn’t take long for Chamberlain to find his range and land a stiff left hand that caught Wahab flush and surprisingly knocked him to the canvas. Wahab was able to get back to his feet, but Chamberlain sensed the blood in the water and went in for the kill. “Thunder” was able to land another hard left hand along the ropes that stunned Wahab. Chamberlain quickly followed up with a nasty combination that slumped Wahab and spelled an early end to the main card contest.
