The combat community was on high alert after witnessing Donald Trump’s assassination attempt early Saturday evening (July 13, 2024). Trump was in Butler, Pa., for one of his signature Republican rallies. The former President of the United States is hoping to win another election later this year.
Trump was on stage to address the crowd when a gun shots rung out. The former President seemed to get hit by something as he went to the ground. Secret Service quickly rushed in to protect Trump. As Trump got back to his feet he was bleeding from the top of his ear. He showed his perseverance and held up his fist while yelling to the crowd to “fight.”
“An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania,” said Anthony Guglielmi, US Secret Service chief of communications (per CNN). “The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”

Of course, the combat community quickly took to social media (as all of us did) to discuss the incident. After all, this was a very scary moment for Trump. Even more so, Trump’s ability to get back to his feet and hold his fist up was an image that will live on for a very long time.
