Former UFC heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga (12-6) has reportedly signed a four-fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship according to his own Team Link academy website.

Former title contender and best knock out of the UFC history Gabriel Napao Gonzaga sign 4 fight deal with the UFC and is schedule to face 13-0 Edinaldo Oliveira at the UFC Rio on January 14th. Coming from a victory at the Reality Fighting event on October when he become the heavy weight champion Napao is back baby!!!! Let’s go Napao!!!!!

Gonzaga replaces injured Brit Rob Broughton at next months UFC 142 event and will now meet fellow Brazilian Ednaldo Oliveira (13-0-1, 1NC), who makes his UFC debut.

UFC 142: Aldo vs. Mendes is scheduled to take place on Jan. 14 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Gonzaga returns to the UFC thirteen months after his dismissal, having lost two straight dropping matches to current champ, Junior dos Santos, and to Brendan Schaub at UFC 121. Gonzaga had fought twelve straight times in the Octagon, going 7-5 with one title fight versus Randy Couture back in 2007 at UFC 74. Since he was dismissed from the UFC, Gonzaga did have one fight which took place this past October, earning a third round submission victory against Parkr Porter at a Reality Fighting event.
