Ultimate Fighter standouts, Nathan Fletcher and Zygimantas Ramaska, will not be fighting later tonight (Sat., Aug. 24, 2024) at UFC Vegas 96 LIVE on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Fletcher has been removed last-second due to an unknown medical issue.

The unfortunate news was announced during the opening seconds of the UFC Vegas 96 broadcast on ESPN.

Fletcher, 26, lost his opening round fight against Kaan Ofli during Season 32 of TUF, but the English prospect still got the nod to make his UFC debut this weekend in “Sin City.” The talented grappler trains alongside Paddy Pimblett and has a good amount of buzz behind him. Unfortunately, he’ll have to wait a little longer to make his first walk to the Octagon.

Ramaska, 27, won his opening round fight against Bekhzod Usmonov on the most recent season of TUF, but was unable to continue in the tournament. The explosive Lithuanian fighter was bringing a 100-percent finish rate into his UFC debut this weekend, but fight fans will have to wait to see what he can do. It’s unknown at this time if UFC will look to re-book this matchup right away or at least find a short-notice replacement fight for Ramaska to get him back on the schedule in short time.

UFC Vegas 96 will now proceed with 11 total fights.
