John Lineker fighting Muay Thai in 4 oz. gloves should be a crime, but that’s exactly what happened earlier tonight (Fri., Sept. 6, 2024) at ONE Championship 168 LIVE on Amazon Prime from inside Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, when “Hands of Stone” made his official Muay Thai debut.

The former UFC contender matched up against veteran striker Asa Ten Pow, who was coming off back-to-back knockout finishes. Lineker entered the fight as a sizeable betting underdog, but still possessed incredible power, durability, and a willingness to walk through the fire. It was really unknown how the fight would go once the fists started flying.

Lineker needed his chin in the early going as Ten Pow was able to land some solid shots, including a nasty spinning elbow. Still, Lineker kept plodding forward and did his best to maintain suffocating pressure. Despite this being his first Muay Thai fight, Lineker’s MMA striking skills — hooks and body shots — carried over nicely.

The action spilled into the second round where things took a turn for the worse for Ten Pow. Lineker finally found a home for his vaunted power and had Ten Pow hurt. “Hands of Stone” unloaded everything in the tank and was close to stopping the fight. A final right hook did Ten Pow in as he fell to the canvas and couldn’t continue.

It was an incredible debut for Lineker as he walks away with a massive knockout finish and a nice $50,000 post-fight bonus. Check out the video highlights below:
