Highlights! Plant Survives Knockdown To Score Late TKO

Caleb Plant delivered another memorable performance earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 14, 2024) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping Trevor McCumby via ninth-round TKO on the ‘Canelo vs. Berlanga’ undercard.

This fight was a nice back-and-forth brawl early on as both middleweights scored solid punches. McCumby was the betting underdog coming into the fight, but he looked to have his wits about him at every turn. He certainly took some punishment along the way, but eventually found a home for a beautiful left hook that dropped Plant to the canvas in Round 4. Plant worked his way to the fight, but it looked like he could be in trouble.

Plant would eventually regroup and start to press the action. McCumby seemed to be fading in the middle rounds and it allowed Plant to really start to tee off. The action spilled into the ninth round and that’s where it ended. Plant poured on a late effort with a few seconds on the clock and badly hurt McCumby along the ropes. The referee quickly stepped in and waved the fight off as the bell rang.

It may not have been a flashy UFC finish from inside the Sphere, but Plant did enough to steal some attention on a weekend stacked with combat greatness. Check out the video highlights below:
