Hamzah Sheeraz successfully won the EBU European middleweight title earlier today (Sat., Sept. 21, 2024) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Wembley Arena in London, England, stopping veteran Tyler Denny with a nasty second-round knockout.

Sheeraz came into this co-main event clash with an undefeated 20-0 professional record and four-straight defenses of his WBC Silver middleweight title. The 25-year-old contender was the betting favorite to take care of business and keep his perfect record in tact, but Denny is no pushover inside of the ring and certainly had a good chance to play spoiler.

Unfortunately for Denny, Sheeraz was on point from the opening bell and even landed a knockdown in the early moments. His first-round efforts spilled over into the second as he moved inside and landed a massive left-right hook combination along the ropes. Denny toppled to the canvas and the fight was subsequently waved off after English fighter couldn’t recover.

Sheeraz, who was making the most important walk of his career thus far, could not have looked any better. He took little damage, displayed his finishing ability early and often, and walked away with another championship belt. Look for the Berkshire native to take a big step up in competition his next time out.
