The fight world witnessed Daniel Dubois faceplant knockout Anthony Joshua earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 21, 2024) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Wembley Arena in London, England. This included former UFC champion Conor McGregor and former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, you were watching the huge main event ringside.

Despite Fury or Oleksandr Usyk not being part of this weekend’s festivities, the matchup between Joshua and Dubois still packed out Wembley Arena with a record-breaking 96,000 fight fans. The hype surrounding this battle of English heavyweights was almost immeasurable. The event brought out some of the biggest names in combat sports and was a true spectacle from start to finish.

Unfortunately for Joshua, he wasn’t ready for the power of Dubois. The reigning IBF heavyweight champion landed big shot after big shot over the first few rounds to score multiple knockdowns against Joshua. Fight fans have seen Joshua get hurt before only to regroup and mount a comeback, but this was different. Dubois was simply too strong and and put the finishing touches on his landslide victory with a titanic knockout in the fifth round.

The finish shocked those in attendance and the thousands upon thousands of fans watching at home. Sitting front row was McGregor and Fury. Both frequent these type of fights, but it was especially more intriguing for “Gypsy King” as he could very well fight Joshua or Dubois in 2025. Both of their reactions were priceless and told the entire story of this one-sided main event.
