We at MMA Fix had a chance to catch up with Junior dos Santos at a UFC 141 luncheon and ask him if Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Lyoto Machida could have tapped out in their losses at UFC 140 or if there was simply not enough time for them to react. He tells us there is a Brazilian saying to never tap out, and thinks it was Nogueira’s choice to suffer a broken arm, as well as Machida’s to be choked out. Junior admits he would never allow himself to get hurt on purpose rather than tap.
