UFC welterweight Jake Hecht (11-2) is expected to face TJ Waldburger (14-6) this coming March at the UFC on FX 2 event in Australia.

This according to Hecht who posted the news via Twitter (JakeHechtUFC) on Wednesday night.

Just confirmed my next fight for march 3 in sydney, australia vs tj waldburger. Back on the diet and hard training after the new year.

UFC on FX: Alves vs. Kampmann (aka UFC on FX 2) is expected to take place on March 3, 2012 at the Allphones Arena (formerly Acer Arena) in Sydney, Australia.

Hecht debuted with the UFC earlier this month in Toronto, beating Rich Attonito by second round TKO at UFC 140. The win was Hecht’s fourth straight and is 11-1 in his last twelve matches. Hecht’s previous wins in this current run have taken him around the world to Amman, Jordan at a CWFC event, a Cage Warriors Fighting Championship show in Cork, Ireland, and finally a victory at a PCL – Cage Madness show in Illinois.

Waldburger is coming off a “Submission of the Night” victory over Mike Stumpf last September at the UFN 25 show in New Orleans. The win helped him bounce back from a loss to Johny Hendricks at UFN 24 via first round TKO. The Texas based fighter is now 2-1 in the UFC, having made his debut at UFN 22 in his home state by defeating David Mitchell at the event.
