A bantamweight fight has been added to the main card of this months UFC on FX 1 card as Ken Stone (10-3) is set to meet sophomore Mike ‘The Hulk’ Easton (11-1) at the Tennessee event.
The addition of the two 135-lbs fighters was made official on the promotions webpage for the event at UFC.com.
UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller (aka UFC on FX 1) is scheduled to take place on January 20, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN and is headlined by a lightweight match between Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller. The main card is set to air on FX, while the prelim card is expected to stream live at FOX.com.
Stone earned his first win in the Octagon last September by choking out opponent Donny Walker with a rear-naked choke in the first round of their UFN 25 bout. The win put Stone at 1-1 in the Octagon after debut in June at the “TUF 13 Finale”. At the Vegas event, Stone was stopped cold by Scott Jorgensen via knockout in the first round. The loss was his second in a row after debuting with the WEC last December and suffering a knockout (slam) loss to Eddie Wineland.
Easton has won six in a row including winning his UFC debut this past summer at the UFC on Versus 5 show. At the Washington, D.C. event he faced Byron Bloodworth in a 138-lbs catchweight bout after Bloodworth failed to make weight. ‘The Hulk’ would take the fight via second round TKO. Previous to that victory, Easton had defended his bantamweight UWC title twice which included wins over Chase Beebe and Josh Ferguson.
