Merab Dvalishvili found himself in trouble yet again earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 7, 2024) at UFC 310 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the UFC bantamweight champion tried to get his hands on a fan in the stands.

It was a busy week for Dvalishvili who was in “Sin City” to promote his upcoming title fight with Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311 next month and corner his teammate, former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, at UFC 310. Sterling was facing undefeated featherweight contender Movsar Evloev.

Sterling, who gained some solid crowd support on Saturday night, ended up losing his fight against Evloev by unanimous decision. It was much closer than what the scorecards showed, but there was little protest from “Funk Master” after exiting the cage.

However, Dvalishvili carried some emotion with him outside of the Octagon and ended up in a confrontation with a fan for reasons currently unknown. Dvalishvili was joined by teammate, UFC lightweight fighter Dennis Buzukja, who actually ran over to the fan and exchanges punches. Luckily, Dvalishvili was held back by security so he didn’t do anything stupid to spoil his upcoming title defense.

It was a pretty wild scene to say the least, but not something fight fans should be surprised to see. Remember, Dvalishvili scaled a railing to confront a heckler at the Craig Jones Invitational back in August and then he ran into another pesky fan during UFC’s trip to France this past September. This is his third incident in just four months. Not a great look for the newly-crowned UFC bantamweight king.

Check out Saturday’s incident below along with a snarky reaction from former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley:

“Merab only throws hand with fans in the stands,” wrote O’Malley.
