Conor McGregor playfully grappled his son over the holiday break and fight fans absolutely lampooned the UFC superstar after “Notorious” was tapped out.
It’s no secret that McGregor has had a rough end to the year. This includes having his UFC return canceled back in June due to a broken pinky toe, losing a sexual assault lawsuit in civil court back in November, and then subsequently getting dropped from sponsors like Proper Twelve and the “Hitman” video game franchise. All in all, 2024 has not been the best for “Notorious.”
As most do, McGregor tried to enjoy some valuable family time to close out the year and do his best to ring in 2025 in style. This led to a friendly grappling match with his seven-year-old son. Conor Jr. has been training since he was a small child, but he’s obviously not on a level to actually tap his father.
However, McGregor did what any dad would do and let his son grab a hold of an armbar. McGregor pretended to fight for a second or two before tapping out and giving his son the victory. It was a nice moment in front of the Christmas tree, but it left McGregor open for a plethora of negative comments on social media.
