Fans will have to wait to see “the robot” as injuries to UFC newcomers light heavyweight Ryan ‘Big Deal’ Jimmo (16-1) and lightweight Reza ‘Mad Dog’ Madadi (11-2), have forced both fighters off of the upcoming UFC on FX 1 card, which is set to go down next weekend in Tennessee.

Jimmo, the current Maximum Fighting Championship 205-lbs strap holder, had been scheduled to face Czech fighter Karlos Vemola (8-2), while Madadi was to meet Fabrício Camões (13-6-1).

UFC officials are currently searching for a new opponent for Camões, and have opted to pull Vemola from the card instead of finding a new opponent on one weeks notice. The promotion announced the news via Twitter (@ufc) on Friday night.

Two changes to UFC @FXNetworks 1 card: Jimmo/Vemola off due to Jimmo injury; Madadi out of fight vs. Camoes, replacement for Camoes TBA soon

UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller (aka UFC on FX 1) is scheduled to take place on January 20, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The main card will air live on FX, with the prelim card airing live on Fuel TV.

Jimmo, who does a mean “robot” dance, is currently on a sixteen fight winning streak, which includes winning and defending the 205-lbs strap twice. His last victory took place in October at MFC 31, with a unanimous decision win over Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou.

Madadi has won six in a row, with his most recent victory coming in April over Rick Clementi for the Superior Challenge lightweight title. The Iranian born fighter has earned other notable wins against Carlo Prater and Junie Browning.
