Who saw that one coming?
Strikeforce heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and UFC Legend Randy Couture will share the cover of EA’s upcoming Oct. 19 release of EA Sports MMA video game.
EA made the official announcement today during their press conference at the E3 convention.
One of the features announced was the “EA Sports Live Broadcast, which TeamXbox.com summarized along with all EA’s video game announcements.
Now they’re talking EA Sports Live Broadcast. “Perform in front of thousands of fans.” You create an MMA fighter, create a hype video full of trash talk, upload it and then hope you get picked by EA recruiters to have your fights televised online and through consoles. They’re hiring real sportscasters to announce the events and you can win real prizes. There’s no mention of how often these events will occur.
The game will be available for the Playstation 3 and the XBox 360.
For those of you wondering what UFC president Dana White had to say, he Twittered this after the announcement.
EA sports is a joke and told me when I talked to them that mma is NOT a real sport and they would NEVER make an mma video game
