With the dwindling of major mixed martial arts promotions (DREAM is in bad shape and Zuffa now owns Strikeforce), welterweight fighter Marius ‘The Whitemare’ Žaromskis (16-6, 1NC), the last fighter to hold the DREAM 170-lbs title, has officially signed on with the Bellator Fighting Championships promotion.

Bellator officials announced the signing Friday afternoon via Twitter (@BellatorMMA).

Marius Zaromskis is Bellator bound! Who do you want to see him fight?

No details of his signing were detailed, but fans should expect Žaromskis to debut during Bellator’s upcoming Season Six, which is set to kick off in two weeks starting March 9th with Bellator 60.

The 31-year old fighter is currently on a two fight win streak with a record of 3-1 (1NC) in his last five bouts. His last fight took place in November, a fist round knockout of Bruno Carvalho at a Rumble of the Kings show in Stockholm, Sweden. The win was significant in that ‘The Whitemare’ used a somersault kick to down Carvalho.

Žaromskis suffered his last loss last June versus Canadian Jordan Mein at a Score Fighting Series event, erasing a DREAM title defense by the fighter who stopped Kazushi Sakuraba at the Dynamite!! 2010 show after partially tearing off Sakuraba’s ear due to strikes.
