The plan for “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series is to make it’s way to Australia, India, and the Philippines according to Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White.
The UFC pres made the announcement during the live pre-fight press conference for this weekends UFC on FX 2 event in Sydney, Australia.
The “TUF” series is about to head into it’s fifteenth season in the United States and will debut on FX Friday, March 9th.
The promotion is already filming it’s first international series with “TUF Brazil” featuring coaches Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort.
White noted that making the “TUF” series a reality in Australia, India, and the Philippines is just a matter of working out a deal in each of those respective countries.
Just to speculate, having four international “TUF” series could potentially lead to a “TUF” world tournament or single event that could pit the top fighters from each show against one another in the Octagon.
Whatever happens, the future will be very interesting and fans should be excited by the prospect of fighters competing all over the world for a chance to step into the Octagon.
