With several major sponsors signing top UFC talent to deals in Brazil, one would expect to see more fighters in North American getting signed to big deals too.
Well one of those big sponsorship deals was announced today, as the Bass Pro Shops chain has agreed to sponsor UFC lightweight Jim Miller ahead of the fighters upcoming UFC on FOX 3 main event bout versus Nate Diaz this coming May.
Bass Pro Shops is one of North America’s biggest outdoor retail chains and is known for it’s hunting, finishing and outdoor sporting equipment. It’s a perfect fit for Miller who is an avid outdoorsman himself.
Speaking in a release Miller had this to say about the deal “When not training or spending time with my family it is no secret that I enjoy being outdoors or working in my workshop. Walking into a Bass Pro Shop is like opening up gifts on Christmas. There are so many great items in the store, that I don’t know what direction to head first. It feels great to be the first fighter representing Bass Pro in the Octagon.”
Miller and Diaz meet on May 5th at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
