Always entertaining, super-heavyweight fighter ‘Big Sexy’ Sean McCorkle (16-2) is set to headline the upcoming Worldwide Mixed Martial Arts inaugural show this Saturday (March 31, 2012) at the Don Haskins Centre in El Paso, Texas. The event benefits the Wounded Warrior Project and the US Army Wounded Warrior Program.
McCorkle talks about his upcoming fight with Brian Heden (17-10) and is predicting a first round submission finish, which would be his seventh in a row since he was cut from the UFC. ‘Big Sexy’ feels that a couple more wins would could earn him a trip back to the big show. McCorkle talks about the WMMA 1 card, which also includes ex UFC fighters Caro Parisyan and Paul Buenetello, some thoughts on Tim Sylvia’s Twitter campaign to return to the UFC, the heavyweight match between former opponents Stevan Struve vs. Mark Hunt, and a lot more. He also goes on to say that his management and M-1 Global were very close to agreeing to a fight between him and Fedor Emelianenko, but M-1 chose Jeff Monson instead.
