A bantamweight bout for the TUF 15 Finale is set featuring TUF 14 fighter John ‘Prince’ Albert (7-2) and promotion sophomore Byron Bloodworth (6-2).
The TUF 15 Finale is expected to take place on June 1, 2012 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be headlined by a five-round non-title bout between Martin Kampmann and Jake Ellenberger.
Albert was a member of Team Bisping, losing in the quarter-finals of the reality series tournament. ‘Prince’ is 1-1 in the Octagon having lost his last match this past Feburary to Ivan Menjivar via first round rear-naked choke submission at the UFC on FUEL TV 1 show. Albert won his debut at the TUF 14 Finale, stopping Dustin Pague by first round TKO.
Bloodworth debuted with the UFC last October, stepping in for an injured Jeff Hougland at UFC on Versus 6 versus Mike Easton. Bloodworth failed to make weight and fought Easton in a 138-lbs catchweight match, ending up losing via second round TKO. The loss ended a three fight win streak for Bloodworth.
