Nam Phan
A featherweight bout between TUF 12 alum Nam Phan (17-10) and Cole Miller (18-6) has been announced for this Augusts upcoming UFC on FOX 4 event.
Officials with the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced the match at UFC.com on Tuesday.
UFC on Fox: Stann vs. Lombard (aka UFC on Fox 4) is expected to take place on August 4, 2012 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event is headlined by a middleweight bout between Brian Stann and promotion newcomer, former Bellator champ Hector Lombard.
Phan made his last Octagon appearance in December at UFC 141 and was dominated by Jimy Hettes in the bout on his way to a unanimous decision loss. The defeat puts Phan’s record at 1-3 over his last four matches. Previous to that fight, Phan earned a unanimous decision against Leonard Garcia in their rematch at UFC 136, earning the “Fight of the Night” bonus for their work.
Miller returned to featherweight in his last bout, losing a decision to Steven Siler at UFC on FX 2 in Australia. Previous to that match, Miller stopped TJ O’Brien at UFC on Versus 5 last August with a guillotine choke at the WIsconsin event. Miller is 3-2 in his last five bouts with two “Submission of the Night” bonuses to his credit.
