The Ultimate Fighting Championship named it’s main event for the recently announced UFC on FUEL TV 5 event, recent victors Stefan ‘Skyscraper’ Struve (24-5) and Stipe Mio?i? (9-0) will meet this September in a heavyweight clash in the second European event of of 2012 and the first held this year in the United Kingdom.

Two heavyweights coming off of dramatic finishes at UFC 146 will meet in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 5 set for September 29. Ohio’s undefeated Stipe Miocic and 6’11″ Dutchman Stefan Struve have verbally agreed to a bout that will anchor the UFC’s first-ever foray into Nottingham.

UFC on FUEL TV 5 (aka UFC on FUEL TV: Struve vs. Miocic) is expected to take place on September 29, 2012 at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England.

Both fighters fought last month on the heavyweight main card of UFC 146, walking away with stoppages in their bouts.

Struve faced knockout artist Lavar Johnson, who replaced an injured Mark Hunt, and was quick to end the fight with at 65-seconds of the first with an armbar submission. It was ‘Skyscraper’s’ third straight win which include a TKO finish over Dave Herman and a submission victory versus Pat Barry.

Mio?i? remained undefeated by finishing former Strikeforce fighter Shane del Rosario in the second by TKO. Mio?i? appeared to be in trouble in the first after some precise striking from Del Rosario, but managed to survive and eventually take things to the ground in the second. Del Rosario wasn’t able to stop Mio?i? ground-and-pound forcing the referee to step in at 3:14. Mio?i? has won three in a row with the UFC.
