UFC 147: Silva vs. Franklin took place at the Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Vinicius was down two rounds going into the third versus “TUF: Brazil” castmate Wagner Campos as part of the preliminary card on Facebook. Vinicius would land a big knee to the body and followed it up with several punches that dropped Campos along the cage.

Damm made short work of his “TUF: Brazil” castmate Anistavio Medeiros by finishing things with a first round submission. Damm was able to take Medeiros’ back and sink in a rear-naked choke to force an end at 2:12. The two fighters headlined the preliminary card.

Their first meeting took place back at UFC 99 and ended with Franklin winning by split decision. This time Franklin would improve his standing in the judges eyes, and despite surviving a one-sided round by Silva in the second, earned a unanimous decision from the judges.
