UFC flyweight Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall (11-3-1) has found himself in trouble with the law again, but nothing as bad as some of his previous run ins, but it’s enough to keep him in the Orange County Central Men’s Jail for 30 days according to MMAFighting.com.
McCall was arrested this past Tuesday in Irvine, California after DEA agents recognized the fighter, and according to the StuNewsLaguna.com news agency who originally posted the article, arrested McCall for “two Harbor Court warrants for possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession of prescription meds without a valid prescription, and driving on a suspended license. The warrants had a total bail of $16,500.”
Of the warrants out for his arrest, McCall has only been charged for driving on a suspended license.
More details of ‘Uncle Creepy’s’ arrest was reveled to MMAFighting.com via his Manager, Jason House, and a LBPD representative.
According to McCall’s manager, Jason House, McCall was charged with driving on a suspended license in June, which was a probation violation. He was supposed to appear in court this month, however, he did not due to a miscommunication. He was arrested after the DEA agents recognized his car.
According to Captain Jason Kravetz of the LBPD, McCall was transferred to the Orange County Central Men’s Jail and will be held there for 30 days until Sept. 13 for his court hearing. He is expected to be released from jail then. According to occourts.org, McCall has only been charged with driving on a suspended license.
I seriously don’t see this as something that will get McCall kicked out of the UFC as it’s simply a fact of the fighters sorted past catching up with him. I also think though, that UFC president Dana White will want McCall to get his affairs in order before he steps inside the Octagon again.
