A pair of lightweights will meet in Montreal this November when BJJ practitioners Mark Bocek (11-4) and Rafael dos Anjos (17-6) step into the Octagon at UFC 154.
Promotion officials announced the bout on Monday at UFC.com, as well as confirming several previously announced bouts including Tom Lawlor vs. Francis Carmont, Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm, and Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza.
At lightweight, two grappling specialists will meet in a chess match between BJJ black belts as Toronto’s Mark Bocek faces Rio’s Rafael Dos Anjos.
UFC 154 is expected to take place on November 17, 2012 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Bell Centre.
Bocek will fight in front of his fellow Canadians inside the Octagon for a sixth time and enters this fight on a two fight win streak. Bocek earned a decision over John Alessio this past April, winning a decision at UFC 145, as well as earning a decision versus Nik Lentz at UFC 140. The loss previous to those victories was to current lightweight champ Benson Henderson, occurring at UFC 129 via decision.
