UFC light heavyweight Vladimir ‘The Janitor’ Matyushenko (26-6) has suffered a torn Achilles tendon and has been forced out of an upcoming UFC 152 bout with a returning Matt ‘The Hammer’ Hamill (10-4).

Matyushenko had replaced Canadian Roger Hollett (13-3) who withdrew due to injury.

Now Hollett is back in according the UFC’s Canadian office (@UFC_CA) and will now take on Hamill at the Toronto event.

Roger Hollett vs Matt Hamill is back on for #UFC152 as Vladimir Matyushenko is out with a torn achilles tendon.

UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort is expected to take place on September 22, 2012 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Hollett will make his Octagon debut on native soil and carries a five fight win streak into this first UFC match. The Canadian was last in action last November in the Bellator cage, earning a split decision over John Hawk at Bellator 57 in a light heavyweight tournament qualifier. Hollett has competed with several Canadian promotions including the MFC, W-1 and Ringside MMA.

Hamill returns to the Octagon after a self-imposed retirement and carries a two-fight losing skid into this fight. ‘The Hammer’ suffered his last loss thirteen-months ago via second round TKO to Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 133. The other defeat came at the hands of Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson at UFC 130 via decision. Hamill’s last victory came in October 2010 with a unanimous decision win over Tito Ortiz at UFC 121.
