The Ontario Athletic Commission issued it’s medical suspensions for this past weekends UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort event, sentencing all twenty-four competitors from 14-days to several indefinite suspensions.
UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort took place on Sept. 22, 2012 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with the main card airing on pay-per-view, and the prelim card split between FX and Facebook.
Headliner, Light heavyweight champ Jon Jones, was given an indefinite suspension for an injured right arm, while opponent Vitor Belfort was suspended for 30 days for a “laceration over the eye.” Jones sentence can be reduced following an x-ray and clearance from a physician, but will have to serve at least 14 days.
Other fighters receiving indefinite suspensions, following clearances, were Charlie Brenneman, Simeon Thoresen, Charles Oliveira, and Roger Hollett.
