UFC lightweight Jeremy ‘Lil Heathen’ Stephens (20-8) was arrested Friday morning by Minneapolis police on a felony charge from another state.

Update: UFC president Dana White confirmed Stephens participation at tonight’s UFC on FX 5 event via Twitter minutes ago.

OMFG!!! YES Jeremy Stephens is fighting tonight! At no point did ANYONE from UFC say he wasn’t. Some media jackasses said he wasn’t

Stephens is in Minneapolis, Minnesota for tonight’s UFC on FX 5 event where he is scheduled to face Yves Edwards at the Target Center show in the FUEL TV prelim headliner.

UFC president Dana White stated on Twitter (@DanaWhite) that Stephens would be competing tonight.

Don’t listen to the media! Nobody ever told them Jeremy isn’t fighting. He is fighting!!

Despite that statement, MMAjunkie.com is reporting that Stephens is still being held without bail at the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility.

One bout on the FX card has already been scrapped as a lightweight fight between Dennis Hallman vs. Thiago Tavares was pulled after Hallman failed to make weight. Hallman was subsequently released by the UFC but was given his show and win money by UFC president Dana White.
