Perez debuted debuted at the TUF 15 Finale, by defeating John Albert via verbal submission. There was some controversy over the win as Albert did not appear to verbally submit or tap out.
Bloodworth debuted with the UFC over a year ago at UFC on Versus 6 versus Mike Easton. Bloodworth was finished by ‘The Hulk’ in the second via TKO. He was to fight at the TUF 15 Finale versus Albert but was replaced by Perez. Previous to the loss, Bloodworth had been on a three fight win streak with two victories under the Wild Bill’s Fight Night banner.
