Australian fighter Kyle ‘KO’ Noke (20-6-1) will not get a chance to compete inside the Octagon in front of a crowd of his fellow countrymen after an injury forced the Aussie off the UFC on FX 6 card.
This leaves opponent Seth ‘The Polish Pistola’ Baczynski (17-6) without an opponent for the December event.
Officials with the UFC announced Noke’s injury today, and have yet to announce a new opponent for Noke.
With one event cancelled this past September, Baczynski will not have long to wait before he finds a new foe for the television event.
UFC on FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson is expected to take place on December 15, 2012 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Fans in North America will see the event live on December 14 due to the difference in time zones.
Noke had bounced back from a two-fight losing skid by finishing Charlie Brenneman at UFC 152 this past fall in Toronto by stopping ‘The Spaniard’ via first round TKO. Losses for ‘KO’ occurred at the hands of Andrew Craig at UFC on FX 2 by decision, and versus Ed Herman by submission at UFC on Versus 5.
Baczynski has won six straight, with four victories in the Octagon. He was also involved with the UFC 152 card, finishing Simeon Thoresen by first round knockout. ‘The Polish Pistola’ earned wins over Lance Benoist, Matt Brown and Clay Harvison, all part of his Octagon return after a loss at the TUF 11 Finale to Brad Tavares in June 2010.
