The Ultimate Fighting Championship added a bantamweight bout to the promotions upcoming UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar event, pitting sophomore fighter Chico ‘King’ Camus (12-3) versus promotion newcomer Dustin Kimura (9-0).
The promotion announced the news Tuesday afternoon at UFC.com as well as confirming a lightweight bout between Yves Edwards versus former Strikeforce fighter Isaac Vallie-Flagg.
Plus, Chico Camus will welcome undefeated top prospect Dustin Kimura to the world-famous Octagon in a bantamweight scrap
UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar is expected to take place on February 2, 2013 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout between Camus vs. Kimura is certain to end up on the prelim card, likely Facebook and may even open for UFC 156.
Camus debuted inside the Octagon this past August at UFC 150, picking up his fourth straight victory by winning a decision over Dustin Pague at the Colorado event. His three other wins in this current run were also by decision with two wins under the LFC banner in Indianapolis. Camus has earned four wins by (T)KO, three by submission and five by decision over his pro-career.
Kimura hails from Honolulu, Hawaii and has managed to go undefeated in his pro-career picking up nine straight victories. Six of those wins have come via submission, with two (T)KO finishes and one by decision. Kimura earned his last win in November at a Pacific Xtreme Combat event by stopping opponent Guy Delumeau by third round knockout.
