Strikeforce Welterweight Champ Tarec Saffiedine On Winning His First Title

It’s been a long journey for Tarec Saffiedine who has earned his first major title Saturday night by winning the Strikeforce welterweight belt at the promotions final show. Saffiedine earned his fourth straight victory by defeating opponent Nate Marquardt by scores of 48-47, 49-46, and 49-46 in the Oklahoma shows main event. ‘The Sponge’ used devastating leg kicks to cut down Marquardt throughout the five rounds.
