Chad Mendes
This past weekend UFC featherweight Manny Gamburyan (12-7) was forced to admit that the injury bug had caught up with him and had forced him out of his upcoming UFC 157 bout with Chad Mendes (13-1).
Now according to Mendes, UFC officials have not found a replacement for ‘The Pit Bull’ and have now pulled ‘Money’ off the card as well. Mendes posted the news on Twitter (@chadmendes)
– Well guys it looks like I’m off the Anaheim card. Sucks pretty bad. Ill keep everyone updated with what I find out. Sorry.
The two had been scheduled to square off on February 23, 2013 on the UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche pay-per-view card. Heavyweights Brendan Schaub and Lavar Johnson have reportedly had their bout bumped up but this has to be confirmed by UFC officials.
UFC 157 is set to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
