Another failed drug test, another fighter released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Heavyweight Lavar ‘Big’ Johnson (17-7) was released by the UFC after testing positive for high testosterone levels following a loss at UFC 157.

According to MMAjunkie.com, Johnson failed to disclosed that he was undergoing testosterone replacement therapy in his pre-fight medical and was flagged for a 6.6-to-1 testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio. The acceptable limit is 4-to-1.

The California State Athletic Commission also slapped Johnson with a nine-month suspension and a fine, which has yet to be determined.

MMAjunkie.com also revealed the news of Johnson’s release.

Johnson suffered a second straight loss inside the Octagon last month at UFC 157, losing by decision to Brendan Schaub. The other defeat came at the hands of Stefan Struve at UFC 146 and ended in a first round sub for Struve.

‘Big’ won his first two UFC matches, earning “Knockout of the Night” bonuses for finishes against Joey Beltran and Pat Barry.
